~ Welcome to Kansuirou
- an Inn of Quiet Woods and Beautiful Gardens ~
Originating from Kaitou Hot Spring, the Murasugi Hot Spring
comes with a rich history that stretches back more than 700 years.
The source, being from Radium, has a high value of scarcity
among the many types of hot springs across Japan.
Kansuirou has been engaged in the hot spring inn business in the area
since the late Edo Period.
There are only 10 guestrooms inside a large garden of 6,000 square meters.
Therefore, we are committed to giving our guests the finest service there is.
We hope you enjoy the culture of Japan while staying with us at Kansuirou.
All 10 rooms are uniquely designed from each other.
There are 3 rooms that come with an individual outdoor bath.
We highly recommend these rooms because the outdoor bath is available
at any time our guests wish to take a dip.
All our rooms are equipped with free Wi-Fi internet connection.
So please spend your time pleasantly.

In Kansuirou, our chefs prepare elegantly-presented
dishes referred to as the Kaisen Ryouri meticulously
and passionately.
Our menu changes every month, so our guests enjoy
a variety of dishes in each season.
Kansuirou is located in Niigata Prefecture,
where there is sea, mountains and an abundance of
delicious food which are known to many Japanese people.
And if there are any allergy concerns or food that
our guests don’t appreciate, we shall do our best to
respond accordingly.
Breakfast and dinner can also be served inside the room.
So please enjoy fine dining in your room
as we take your food one at a time.
With a 700-year old history originating from Kaitou Hot Spring,
this Radium-sourced hot spring has a high value of scarcity among
the many types of hot springs across Japan.
The distance between the Inn and the source of the hot spring is
only 300 meters so our guests can enjoy it freshly at all times.
Having a temperature of only 26 degrees Celsius, the source continues
to warm until it reaches the appropriate bathing temperature.
And because the hot spring has components that warm the body
very well, it is known therefore to be effective against all kinds of
diseases and it has also been branded as a lady-friendly hot spring.
There is a footbath, an outdoor bath, a public bath, hot springs
and drinking fountains in the neighboring spa area as well.
The Murasugi Hot Spring is a small, natural hot spring area where Kansuirou is located.
One can pass through a boardwalk inside the nearby woods or visit and ask for divine favor at the
Yakushidou Shrine or simply visit the Meotosugi (Couple Cedar) tree that is worth admiring.
One can have some Matcha (Japanese green tea) together with some Japanese sweets
in a shop close by, so please do drop in.
By renting a bicycle, it only takes 10 minutes to go and visit the Deyu Hot Spring, the oldest known hot spring
in Niigata Prefecture.
And a visit to the Kehouji (Kehou Temple), which is located in Deyu Hot Spring,
will undoubtedly be a trip to remember.
